Since the dawn of time, man has crafted various media in an attempt to communicate. First it was cave wall drawings, then sculpture and paintings, followed by the written word, the printing press, photography, radio broadcasts, movies, and television. Today we have the internet and intranets with broadband connections... video streaming and virtual reality. We also have hi-definition television complete with surround sound, and blazing fast computers with video e-mail. Technology has progressed immensely, but what hasn't changed is the need to communicate...effectively. Throughout the ages, artisans took up the task of creating and communicating. Today it's no different; there are just new tools, techniques and technology with which to work. It all begins with a creative concept, an idea. This idea then has to be shaped into an effective communication tool with interesting content, sharp writing, design pizzazz and state-of-the-art delivery. This is then mastered to the best medium for distribution to the audience. |
